Music We Love in 2019

Music We Love in 2019

Tommy and I in our new format of being independent broadcasters have come to appreciate all different types of music more than ever. We are so excited to play music every morning that is well curated and hand selected by us along with our Tommy Show radio family.

We still love pop music which is why we are especially excited to hear from Katy Perry in 2019.  New Katy Perry with Zedd – her song 365 along with her video is little like the movie ex machina.

Does this mean we could hear more from Katy in 2019 with an album and tour coming? Or will she focus on being engaged and wedding planning with Orlando Bloom?

Kacey Musgraves is country music’s latest sweetheart winning 3 Grammys including the coveted Album of the Year.  Her performance of Rainbow at the award ceremony further proves she is a true star. BTW, she is coming to Wolf Trap in September    with a  continuation of our her Oh, What a World tour.

Cardi B is everything– her style, music and now being the first solo female artist to win a Grammy for Best Rap Album.  2018 was quite the year for her with her album, new fiancé and the birth of her baby girl, Kulture. No signs of her slowing down in 2019, she will continue to perform including at Bonnaroo in June.

At only 17 years old Billie Eilish hit the scene in 2018 with Khalid (why is everything he touches turns to gold?).  Before then, Apple Music named her as an “Up Next” artist in late 2017.

Her debut studio album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? will be released in March 2019.

And like so many others, we are playing a ton of Queen music thanks to the award winning and Oscar nominate movie Bohemian Rhapsody. Perhaps it is because we have background in radio my favorite song is Radio Gaga performed at the Live Aid concert and the final scene of the movie (spoiler alert).
